How’s a SysAdmin’s workday?
Our client, a small but expanding team of iGaming professionals from Sweden and abroad, has proven to be successful in attracting players from the Nordic region as well as in the EU as a whole. They opened up their Malta office last autumn and is now looking to expand their small but successful team. The company also has an additional office in Spain with a development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, highly skilled and forward-thinking international team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced iGaming environment.
Initially, will you be the architect of the internal infrastructure (ideally using OpenStack/Docker) and optimize and develop its performance. Moving on will you be in charge of the day to day management and monitoring of the Linux hosts and the hardware. You will also implement routines regarding recovery services, virus protection, and disk space management as well as general performance and network tuning.
Depending on your experience and seniority may the role be shifted towards more complex tasks and duties with time.
Who is our new SysAdmin?
You may be at the start of your career or with several years of experience from system administration and server management is essential that you have experience from RedHat, CentOS, Debian or any other Linux-based OS. We also believe that you are analytical and have strong troubleshooting skills for problems that may span over multiple domains (applications, network, system, hardware).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration
- Linux server administration
- Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Digital Ocean, Rackspace)
- Open-source technologies (e.g. Openstack)
- Automation and orchestration technologies, such as Ansible, Salt Stack, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
- Scripting (e.g. Bash and Python)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proactive mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills, team play attitude
Nice to haves but not mandatory:
- Practical experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
We require no other language skills than a reasonable level of English.
